NHRA - National Hot Rod Association

The Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals marks the end of the 18-race NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series regular season, and the defining line to set the competitors for the six-race Countdown to the Championship.

Only the top 10 drivers in each of the four Mello Yello classes -- Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle -- have earned berths to compete in the six-race playoffs that begin Sept. 16-18 at the NHRA Carolinas Nationals in Charlotte, N.C. The points will be reset for the top 10, with the No. 1 seed getting  30-point edge and the other drivers following in 10-point increments.

Below are the final 10 participants in the Countdown to the Championship. Positions may change based on final results of the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals.
