Schriefer gets out of the groove and starts moving to the right. Laughlin has a cylinder out and was falling behind. Schriefer keeps moving right, crosses over the centerline between the 660 foot marker and the MPH start timing block and pulls in front of Laughlin. Luckily, Laughlin had been falling back when Schriefer crossed over and he was able to avoid contact. Both drivers deploy their chutes, then Laughlin steers left into the other lane. |
