This is the first time Wilkerson and Bode have faced each other in eliminations. Daniel Wilkerson is making his 28th start. Bobby Bode is making his 35th start. Wilkerson gets out of the gate first but lost a cylinder. He gets about 400 feet out, the engine explodes breaking the body into two pieces. He is able to get the car brought to a stop without contacting the wall. Bode goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to take the win. In 13 races this year Austin Prock has only made 7 3-second runs in Rd. 1. His average E/T in Rd. 1 this year is 4.101. Chris King is making his 6th start. This is the first time Prock and King have faced each other in eliminations. prock gets out of the gate first and starts pulling away. King hits the throttle and has a cylinder out. He makes a little move to the right, then he backs off of the throttle. Prock goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the weekend to take the win. Tasca III is 2 - 0 against Hull in prior events. Bob Tasca has set Top Speed at 9 of the 13 races this year (and has Top Speed so far at this event). Buddy Hull is making his 29th start (his 14th in FC). Tasca gets out of the gate first and starts pulling away. He continues to pull away until he gets about 700 feet out, then he strikes the tires and has to back off of the throttle. Hull is able to get around him and take the stripe for his first career round win. Buddy Hull's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.076), 330 ft(-0.109), 660ft(-0.117). MOV: 0.0884 seconds (approximately 29 feet).

Jack Beckman is 9 - 6 in Rd. 1 at this event. Dale Creasy's 1st Indy race was 1997. He is 1 of 3 FC qualifiers that year who also qualified this year (Capps & Pedregon). Beckman is 6 - 0 against Creasy Jr. in prior events. A coin flip off of the line, Beckman starts pulling away and extends his lead all the way through the run with the quickest pass of the weekend. Creasy goes down the groove with a career best ET but was falling behind all the way through the run. Jack Beckman's incremental times: 60ft-0.862 sec., 330ft-2.213, 660ft-3.112/285.89 mph. Blake Alexander is 7 - 4 in Rd. 1 this year. Chad Green is 2 - 2 against Alexander in Rd. 1 races and is 3-3 overall. Green gets out of the gate first, gets about 200 feet out, then strikes the tires and has to back off of the throttle. Alexander goes around green before they reach the 330 foot mark and pulls away for the win with his quickest pass of the weekend. With this win Alexander is guaranteed to be in the countdown. Blake Alexander's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.050), 330 ft(0.465), 660ft(2.389). MOV: 6.1521 seconds (more than 100 feet). Alexander will have lane choice over Bode in the next round.

Cruz Pedregon is 16 - 12 in Rd. 1 at this event and 3 - 10 in Rd. 1 this year. Paul Lee lost to Cruz in Rd. 1 at Bristol. Pedregon is 5 - 3 against Lee in prior events. Pedregon gets the holeshot but Lee starts making up ground. Lee starts mixing up cylinders about 500 feet out, then it looks like he may have pushed out a head gasket near the end of the run. The car starts moving to the left and he crosses the centerline after the finish. Pedregon looked like he may have lost a cylinder near the end of the run but took the stripe for the win. Cruz Pedregon's incremental margins: 60ft(0.038), 330 ft(0.021), 660ft(0.025). MOV: 0.0306 seconds (approximately 14 feet). Beckman will have lane choice over Pedregon in the next round.

Capps is 18 - 11 against Todd in prior events. Ron Capps is 30 - 18 in Rd. 1 when starting 7th. This is the 1st time since 2020 that Capps and Todd have raced in Rd. 1. In their 29 meetings Todd has "left first" 17 times. A coin flip off of the line, Todd gets the early lead. He gets about 300 feet out, loses traction, then Capps drives around him. Hagan gets the holeshot, he stays in front for the first 330 feet, then he hazes the tires about 500 feet out and has to back off of the throttle. DeJoria drives around him and goes on through with her quickest pass of the weekend to take the win. Alexis DeJoria's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.023), 330 ft(-0.020), 660ft(0.073). MOV: 0.3342 seconds (more than 100 feet). With the win by DeJoria paul Lee will not make the countdown. Prock will have lane choice over DeJoria in the next round.
