Weather delay pushes 2026 NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto Nitro Finals to Bristol

Persistent rain at New England Dragway has delayed the completion of the 2026 NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto.

As a result, the Funny Car and Top Fuel final rounds will not be completed in Epping and will instead be contested during the upcoming Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway, June 12-14.

The Pro Stock final was completed prior to the weather interruption, but worsening conditions and continued rainfall prevented NHRA officials from safely conducting the remaining nitro final rounds.

The postponed Funny Car and Top Fuel finals will be carried over to Bristol, where the winners of the NHRA New England Nationals will be officially crowned and championship points awarded.

The 25th annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals is scheduled for June 12-14 at Bristol Dragway and will feature two rounds of professional qualifying on Friday, two additional qualifying sessions on Saturday, and eliminations on Sunday.
