Doug Kalitta, who emerged victorious in a winner-take-all final against Leah Pruett at In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals to end his 26-year championship quest in dramatic fashion, was named the NHRA National Dragster All-Star Team Pro Driver of the Year in balloting by fans.

En route to his long-sought first championship, Kalitta also compiled a 15-3 record during the Countdown to the Championship playoffs and collected his milestone 50th career victory.

Kalitta finished just ahead of Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders, Pro Stock Motorcycle champ Gaige Herrera, and Funny Car title contender Bob Tasca III in the fan balloting.
