2018 Auto Club Road to the Future nominee Audrey Worm of Audrey Worm Racing will return to the driver’s seat of the Leverich family Top Fuel dragster for the 2019 season and will promote her team and sponsors through a unique text-messaging program.

The Leverich dragster will carry a “Text RACEFAN to 555888” message on the side of the car, allowing fans to not only receive text SMS text messages explaining what is going on with the team and the car, but also to share pit-area video, such as warmup throttle whacks during warmups, to never-before-seen footage of what goes on behind the stanchions and inside the trailer.

“We want to take fan interaction to a new level,” said Worm, who qualified at six events in 2018 and scored her first career round win in Charlotte. “Fans will be able to text in and join the Audrey Worm Racing RACEFAN group and will see behind the scenes on what it takes for a small, independent team to compete in NHRA Top Fuel. We want fans to see how we do it. From working on the car during the week to traveling to the race and setting up in the pits all the way until we put the car back in the trailer.

“Two years ago, I was just like every other race fan. I stood outside the rope at trailers of racers like Jack Beckman and Brittany Force, waiting to see them or get an autograph, all the time wondering where they were and what they were doing,” she added. “There’s a lot going on during the day and we want to give the race fan a glimpse of what it is that drivers, crew chiefs, and crew have to deal with. We think it will be really cool.”

RACEFAN subscribers also will get special sponsor-coordinated deals only available through the system, as well as giveaways that include two weekend passes for every race at which the team is competing and the ability to enter to win t-shirts, hats, and even tickets to be a guest in the team’s pit area.

The team has not yet set its 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule as it waits on open and pending sponsorship deals.
