Hunter Green is the 80th driver to race J. R. Todd. 30 of those drivers never beat him. Green with a slight starting line advantage, but Todd had the lead by the time they went by the Christmas tree and never trailed for the win. Green was right there with him and just past half track there was a quick flash of flames under the car.

Bob Tasca III's MOV: 0.0242 seconds (approximately 22 feet).Prock and Tasca III have each won 3 times against the other in prior events. Prock with a tick on the tree, but then started to lose traction and drop cylinders. He will still get the win as Tasca III makes a move toward the centerline right in the lights and collect the top end blocks. His run is DQ'ed and this will cost him 10 points. Prock will get the win, but is E.T. is invalid because Tasca III took out the blocks. Prock will give up lane choice to Todd in the semifinal.

Jack Beckman is 143 - 102 (58%) in Rd. 2. Beckman is 6 - 2 against Lee in prior events. Lee with the starting line advantage, but is up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off. Beckman had a cylinder out early and then dropped a couple more before he clicked it off. He holds on for the win.

Daniel Wilkerson is 6 - 13 in Rd. 2 overall (and 2 - 1 this year). Ron Capps is 57 - 27 against the Wilkerson family. Capps is 5 - 1 against Daniel Wilkerson in prior events. Capps with the slight starting line advantage, but is up in smoke right at the hit. Wilkerson kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight with the quickest pass of the round for the win. He will have lane choice over Beckman in the semifinal.
