This is the first time Kundratic and Cowie have faced each other in eliminations. Shawn Cowie is 19 - 4 in Rd. 1 when starting #1 . This is the 4th start for Kelly Kundratic. Cowie with the starting line advantage, but is up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off. Kundratic is straight down the groove for the win. She will give up lane choice to Veale in the next round. This is only the third time the #16 TAD qualifier has won in round one, the other were in 1997 & 2016.
