This is the first time Coughlin and Dreher have faced each other in eliminations. Dreher gets a perfect reaction time and goes right down the groove with a good pass to pull away for the win.

Green is 1 - 0 against Smith in prior events. This is the 3rd #1 spot for Hunter Green this year. In Rd. 1 the #16 TAD qualifier has only won 4 times in 41 years at this event, one of them was by Megan Smith last year. Green gets out of the gate first and starts to pull away. Smith has a cylinder or two out at the hit and they never started firing. Green went down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to take the win. Green will have lane choice over Dreher in the next round.

This is the first time Greco and Ausherman have faced each other in eliminations. This is the 5th time (in 25 starts) that Brandon Greco has qualified in the top half of the field. They come off of the line together but Greco starts pulling away quickly. Greco goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to take the win.

This is the first time Sampey and Schmidt have faced each other in eliminations. Angelle Sampey is 4 - 2 in Rd. 1 in her TAD career. Terry Schmidt is 3 - 8 in Rd. 1 in his career. Sampey gets out of the gate first and extends her lead all the way through the run. Greco will have lane choice over Sampey in the next round.

This is the first time Blinzler and Stalba have faced each other in eliminations. This (#5) is the best starting spot for Shaunda Blinzler. 5.330 is a career best for her. Karen Stalba is 2 - 1 in Rd. 1 at this event. Blinzler gets out of the gate first and starts pulling away. Stalba makes her quickest pass of the weekend but she couldn't reel in Blinzler. Nataas is 3 - 2 against Cummings in prior events. Matthew Cummings is 1 - 3 in Rd. 1 this year. Julie Nataas is 3 - 2 against Cummings. She won this race in 2022. A coin flip off of the line, Nataas gets out in front quickly and goes down the groove with her quickest pass of the weekend to take the win. Maynard is 2 - 0 against Dietrich in prior events. Joe Maynard is making his 4th start. In the last 10 years the #13 TAD qualifier is 2 - 8 in Rd. 1 at this event...make that 2-9 now. They come off of the line together and Dietrich gets the early lead. He extends his lead through the 330 foot mark, then looks like he may have lost a cylinder. Maynard starts making up ground and goes around him just past half track and pulls away for the win. Shawn Cowie has won 77% of his Rd. 1 races. Jackie Fricke is 6 - 5 against Cowie. She won this race in 2021. A good side-by-side, both down the groove with their quickest passes of the weekend. Fricke gets out of the gate first but Cowie gets around her before they reach the sixty foot mark. He pulls away, extending his lead all the way through the run.
