Schumacher, Force end win droughts on live TV stage; A.J., Hines continue Denver dominance

NHRA’s winningest nitro drivers, Tony Schumacher in Top Fuel and John Force in Funny Car, used the stage of a historic live national broadcast on FOX as the perfect place to end long victory droughts with their wins at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals. In Pro Stock, Allen Johnson scored his seventh Pro Stock win in 10 years to end the KB Racing team’s season-long dominance and was joined in victory by Pro Stock Motorcycle winner Andrew Hines.

As part of NHRA’s 50 years of Funny Car celebration, fans voted on a Top 20 list developed by respected drag racing historians and Funny Car experts.
