2019 GATORNATS
We are just one year away from the 50th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals! To celebrate, fans who renew their seats for 2019 while they are at this weekend's race, March 15-18, will receive a limited-Edition NHRA Legends poster and a commemorative 50th annual ring*. The only way these collectibles can be yours is if you attend the #Gatornats at Gainesville Raceway this weekend and renew your seats before you leave. Ticket Renewals are taking place at the Mello Yello Welcome Center in the midway.
* Pick-up your poster this weekend at this weekend's Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. The ring will be distributed at next year's race.
Youth and Education
The NHRA Youth and Education Services (YES) Program presented by the U.S. Army was founded in 1989. It is the only full-time education program in motorsports that provides quality programs and activities for schools and youth organizations nationwide. Not only is the YES Program FREE, it focuses on the importance of goals and continued education, while allowing students to learn about and explore various career opportunities. The program will show students how S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is applied to both, real world situations and NHRA Drag Racing, which they will have the opportunity to see live at the track. First Responders
Throughout the 2018 season, the NHRA will pay tribute to the legion of first responders, the heroes who are among the first people to arrive and assist at the scene of an emergency.
NHRA Salutes First Responders will honor medical professionals, law-enforcement officers, firefighters, members of the armed forces, and a number of other professions charged with the safety and well-being of the public, much like the Safety Safari is charged with the safety and well-being of the racing community.
As part of the tribute, first responders will be eligible for discounted tickets to the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals through GovX. Click here to purchase.

Fans in the Sunshine State will be in for a treat at Gainesville Raceway as the world’s best drag racers power their 10,000 horsepower, fire-breathing machines down the strip in pursuit of championship points and early-season momentum.
The traditional East Coast opener and the season’s first of 16 races for Pro Stock Motorcycle, this event, one of the sport’s most revered, has entertained fans for decades with such notables as the first 260-mph Top Fuel and Funny Car runs in 1984 and the first 270-mph and 300-mph Top Fuel passes, in 1986 and 1992, respectively.

How to Get There: The track is on County Road 225, eight miles north of Gainesville Regional Airport. If traveling north on I-75, use Exit 382, Williston Road (CR 331), and turn left (east). Williston Road will become Waldo Road (State Route 24) after it crosses U.S. 441. Continue on Waldo Road to NE 53rd Avenue, turn left, then immediately right onto CR 225 and continue 3.5 miles to the track. From I-75 north or south, use Exit 390, 39th Avenue (SR 222), go east to Waldo Road (SR 24), turn left, go to NE 53rd Avenue, turn left, then immediately right onto CR 225 and continue 3.5 miles to the track.
