Tommy Johnson Jr. is on the bump spot at 5.401. They leave close to each other and Campbell was on a good pass until the engine starts to drop cylinders. Force's pass started well, but went bad as his engine drops one cylinder and then more going down the track. Force gets the car stopped quickly and is out walking around OK. He gets into the field for now, but will definitely need some major effort before tomorrow's third session. John Force was charged with an oildown, #1 for the season. That will cost 5 points and $1K. John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.923 sec., 330ft-2.340, 660ft-3.284/265.01 mph.
