NHRA - National Hot Rod Association

Throughout 2017, NHRA All Access subscribers will get bonus content with the airing of vintage NHRA national events as part of the new Flashback Friday feature. This week: the 2006 Auto Club NHRA Finals.

The event features the infamous “The Run” by Tony Schumacher, who was tuned at the time by Alan Johnson. Schumacher made what is considered the greatest comeback in NHRA history. He never led the points until he crossed the finish line in the final round while racing Melanie Troxel. 

One of the greatest ever Funny Car races was also part of the event when  John Force squared off against Jack Beckman in the final round of Funny Car.
