As part of its huge 50th Anniversary celebration, NHRA will reunite past event champions from seven select Winston Drag Racing Series national events at those event in 2001.

Event winners in all eliminators from the events now known as the AutoZone Winternationals (Pomona, Calif.), Mac Tools Gatornationals (Gainesville, Fla.), Matco Tools Spring SuperNationals (Englishtown, N.J.), Prolong Super Lubricants Northwest Nationals (Seattle), U.S. Nationals (Indianapolis), Advance Auto Parts NHRA Nationals (the fall event in Topeka, to be held in May in 2001), and the O'Reilly Fall Nationals (the fall event in Dallas) are encouraged to contact Shirley Sata-Shultz at (626) 250-2213 or via e-mail, sshultz@nhra.com. Also, friends and fans are encouraged to pass along information to champions who might not see this article.

Champions attending the events, which were selected on a division-by-division basis, will receive a souvenir credential and take part in special events at the track, including access to a winners-only tent, where they can socialize with other past champions and where fans can meet the champs.
