Mike Dunn's Seattle Power Rankings
Tuesday, July 29, 2014

Shawn Langdon, Courtney Force, and Jason Line are the top picks in ESPN2 analyst Mike Dunn's Power Rankings heading into the O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Northwest Nationals.

Rank Driver Plus/minus
1. Shawn Langdon NR
2. Tony Schumacher NR
3. Brittany Force Even
Mike's notes: When you factor in Alan Johnson you come up with Shawn and Tony a lot when you look at the numbers. Tony has a lot of wins here but none since Alan tuned. Tony has had a very good car the last few races and I feel they are close to having a great car. Based on the formula Brittany should not be in the rankings ahead of Doug Kalitta and Antron Brown but she does have a good car and Seattle produces a lot of first-time winners so this would be a great place for her to get her first Wally.
Rank Driver Plus/minus
1. Courtney Force NR
2. Matt Hagan NR
3. Tim Wilkerson NR
Mike's notes: Courtney got her first win here in 2012 and is coming off the win in Sonoma. Matt has been to the finals the last seasons with a win last year. Tim always does well here, winning three years in a row (2009-2011) and had he not red lighted last year he would have been in that final so I like his chances.
Rank Driver Plus/minus
1. Jason Line +1
2. Allen Johnson -1
3. Dave Connolly Even
Mike's notes: These are the best three drivers based on performance over the last three "sea level" events when taking Erica out of the equation. The one to watch would be Shane Gray. He has a very good car right now. Greg Anderson is also starting to step up considerably and he has three wins at this event.
