The fields are now set for the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Countdown playoffs as racing at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd has determined the 10 drivers in each of the four classes who will battle for season championships beginning in three weeks at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil.

In Top Fuel, Dave Grubnic defended his incoming No. 10 spot, fending off Terry McMillen for the final position.

In Funny Car, former world champ Tony Pedregon held off Jeff Arend and his brother Cruz for the final spot.

The 10th spot in Pro Stock also stayed with its pre-race owner as Rodger Brogdon hung on to keep Kurt Johnson from the playoffs.

In Pro Stock Motorcycle, where two spots were open, Karen Stoffer and Craig Treble sealed the field when they held off 11th-place Shawn Gann.

John Force in Funny Car and Andrew Hines in Pro Stock Motorcycle earned the No. 1 seeds in their classes at Sunday's dramatic regualr-season finale in Brainerd.
