Pedregon opens 2010 season with Nitro Fish on his Monte Carlo

Tony Pedregon, left, has again aligned himself with Kenny Koretsky and his Nitro Fish brand to kick off the 2010 season.

Two-time NHRA Full Throttle Funny Car world champion Tony Pedregon will begin the 2010 season Thursday driving the Nitro Fish Funny Car at the 50th anniversary of the Kragen O’Reilly NHRA Winternationals presented by Valvoline in Pomona, Feb. 11-14.

“This new design fits well with the exciting atmosphere surrounding the first race of year and the special tribute to the Winternationals,” said Pedregon, who made the announcement with Nitro Fish Ultimate Gear owner Kenny Koretsky.

Koretsky has been active in drag racing for more than 25 years as a team owner and former Pro Stock and Top Fuel driver. His apparel company is an associate sponsor of Pedregon’s team. The two teamed up at four races in 2009, including for Pedregon’s victory in Englishtown.

“We are pleased to be associated with Tony again this season, and we are all looking forward to the Winternationals,” said Koretsky.
