Technicoat Top Fuel Shootout With $100,000 on the line for the winner of the Technicoat Top Fuel Shootout, qualifying well at each NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series event takes on added importance for Top Fuel drivers. The Shootout field is restricted to eight racers based on points earned prior to the special event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals.
The No. 1 Top Fuel qualifier at every NHRA national event receives $4,000. The Shootout runner-up will receive $15,000, the two semifinalists $6,000 each, and the four first-round finishers $5,000 each.
