NHRA U.S. Smokeless Showdown at Indianapolis
Competition is keen among Funny Car drivers for a spot in the prestigious eight-car NHRA U.S. Smokeless Showdown, which is held at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals and reserved for the racers who qualify the best at the NHRA POWERade Series events completed since the previous year’s Showdown.
At stake is not only the Showdown title, but also $100,000. Additionally, U.S. Smokeless Tobacco presents $4,000 to the No. 1 Funny Car qualifier at every NHRA national event. The Showdown runner-up receives $15,000, the two semifinalists $6,000 each, and the four first-round finishers $5,000 each.
