Heritage Award Honorees: Don Alderson, Ralph Guldahl Jr., Jerry Kugel, K.S. Pittman, and Jess Van Deventer
The National Hot Rod Association, the NHRA Motorsports Museum, and the Automobile Club of Southern California invite you back to the California Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield, California, near the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley. Well known as an agricultural center and the West Coast capital of country music, Bakersfield has long been home to some of the hottest hot rods of them all.
As it has for the last seven years, the California Hot Rod Reunion will give you the opportunity to reunite with old friends, talk about the good old days, mingle with heroes of the past and present, and experience every facet of this great activity known as hot rodding. No matter what branch of the sport interests you, we’re sure you’ll find something here to make you smile.
The event will begin with a Warm-up Day on Friday, October 15. It gives those traveling great distances (and even those from close by) the chance to enjoy a nice, long weekend. Friday will feature exhibition runs and qualifying for all categories except Top Fuel.
The CHRR headquarters hotel continues to be the DoubleTree. As always, the hotel staff has promised to continue its excellent level of service.
