The upcoming NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season should feature one of the most spirited NHRA Rookie of the Year battles in the history of the sport.

The popular Legends Nitro Series will return in 2024 with a 10-race schedule spanning across the six-race NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series and four NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series events, where the nostalgic Funny Car racing will complement the action in the Professional categories.

Angelle Sampey and AB Motorsports have teamed with Michalek Brothers Racing for 14 NHRA national events and select NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional events during the 2024 season with an eye toward the Top Alcohol Dragster world championship.

Flexjet, a global leader in subscription-based private aviation, will continue as the title sponsor of the exciting NHRA Factory Stock Showdown class for an upcoming 10-race 2024 season. 

2023 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion Gaige Herrera will be paired with Richard Gadson on the RevZilla/Mission/Vance & Hines Suzuki team in the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Four-time world champ and longtime V&H rider Eddie Krawiec will serve as crew chief.

Vance & Hines Motorsports has announced that motorcycle gear, parts and accessories leader RevZilla is set to be the title sponsor of V&H Motorsports’ teams in both NHRA Drag Racing and MotoAmerica road racing for the next two years.

Austin Prock will be taking over driving duties from Robert Hight for the Cornwell Tools/AAA Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car to begin the 2024 season as the three-time world champ temporarily steps out of the driver's seat for personal medical reasons. 

Chad Green Motorsports has announced that veteran crewmembers Dean Marinis and Joe Serena will be operating as crew chiefs on the Bond Coat Funny Car for the 2024 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing season. 

The iconic Parks Tower, a major part of the landscape of Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park for decades, was razed recently as part of the facility’s ongoing improvements and upgrades initiative.

The countdown to the start of the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season is on, with the NHRA announcing a number of exciting additions leading up to and during the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals on March 7-10 at legendary Gainesville Raceway.

Following the announcement of a SCAG Power Equipment multicar factory team, SCAG Wilkerson Racing has announced that Daniel Wilkerson will be taking over the driving duties for the Ford Mustang Funny Car from his father, veteran driver and tuner, Tim Wilkerson.

Hertzig/Akers Motorsports has retained NHRA nitro driver Cameron Ferré, to pilot the “Johnnys On Thin Ice” AA/FC for the 2024 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage and Legends of Nitro Racing Series.

As the 2023 season recedes into the rear-view mirror, we cast our first glances toward the 2024 NHRA race season and the new and updated race cars that fans can expect to see at the drags in the new year. 

NHRA has released a comprehensive schedule for Super Stock and Stock class eliminations for the upcoming 2024 season. Class eliminations involve fierce competition among similarly classified cars and combinations.

Legendary NHRA team owner Roland Leong, known far and wide for a string of beautiful Top Fuel and Funny Cars emblazoned with the name The Hawaiian in tribute to his birthplace, passed away Dec. 29.

The NHRA community shares its thoughts, remembrances, and tributes on the passing of drag racing icon Don Schumacher.

NHRA team owner and Funny Car pioneer Don Schumacher passed away Dec. 20. Schumacher, who was 79 at the time of his passing, leaves a lasting legacy on not only the NHRA community, where he etched his name as one of the sport’s most successful team owners and a champion for the advancement of safety innovation.

Paula Murphy, who played a pivotal role in drag racing's formative years as the first woman licensed to drive a Funny Car, passed away Dec. 21.

The 2024 NHRA Rulebook, which also now includes the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League Rulebook, is now online and viewable by all who wish to compete in the NHRA arenas.

The start of the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series is more than two months away, but excitement is already brewing, in part thanks to several drivers set to make their 2024 debut, as well as a host of competitors returning to NHRA Drag Racing.
