March Meet winner Mendy Fry joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom via Skype in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio delivered by Papa John’s to preview the Holley National Hot Rod Reunion presented by AAA Insurance, NHRA Motorsports Museum.
Fry won the March Meet in Bakersfield, Calif., earlier this year behind the wheel of the High-Speed Motorsports front-engine nostalgia dragster. She was the first woman to win the famed event since 1982 when Lucille Lee defeated Shirley Muldowney in that year’s Top Fuel final. Fry will look to carry her strong performance at the March Meet, which also include setting a career-best e.t., to the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Ky., over Father’s Day weekend.
Fry previews the popular event that is a nostalgia fans dream, featuring competition in several nostalgia categories, a show ‘n’ shine event featuring pristine historic vehicles, a swap meet, and much more.
