Fletcher discusses 100-win milestone victory, rigors of Sportsman racing

Dan Fletcher joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom via Skype in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio delivered by Papa John’s to talk about his 100th career win, recorded recently at the Fallen Patriots NHRA Route 66 Nationals held outside Chicago. 

Fletcher became just the third driver in NHRA history to have 100 or more race wins joining Lucas Oil Series Top Alcohol Funny Car racer Frank Manzo, who had 105 wins in his career, and John Force, who currently has 148. Fletcher talked about the pressures of being a full time drag racer in the Lucas Oil Series since became his full-time day job since the mid-‘90s. He also spoke about his love of his 1969 Camaro Super Stock car, he called it his “brother” and talked about the Western Swing, something he has swept two times in his long career.
