For the first time in his 20-plus-year career in Top Fuel, Larry Dixon will compete in a car he owns. That all starts for Dixon at the Amalie Motor Oil Gatornationals this week at historic Gainesville Raceway. Dixon joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio via Skype delivered by Papa John’s to discuss this major step in his drag racing career.

Dixon’s résumé is one of the finest in drag racing. He is a three-time Top Fuel Champion, a four-time U.S. Nationals winner, and has amassed 62 wins in driving career. Dixon and Bloom discussed Dixon’s plans for the event, his tuner, and his hopes for the rest of the season.
