The NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Series kicks off its 2017 season at Gainesville Raceway at the Amalie Motor Oil Gatornationals. NHRA announcer Brian Lohnes joined reporter Lewis Bloom in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio via Skype delivered by Papa John’s to talk about the season ahead, including rule changes and some of the exciting driver changes and additions.
The 2017 Pro Mod schedule includes the class’ first competition at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. Driver changes and driver additions might be the most exciting part of the 2017 season with the debut of Larry Morgan and Steve “Fast” Jackson both in Pro Mod for the first time. Other driver/tuner highlights include Mike Castellana driving a supercharged car for Frank Manzo and the return to the driver’s seat of Shannon Jenkins.
