Dick Kalivoda's B/Modified Roadster
Dick Kalivoda drove this B/Modified Roadster during the 1960 and 1961 seasons with the assistance of partner John Hamlin. He set the first NHRA national record at Pacific Raceways (now Seattle Int'l Raceway) at the July 4, 1960, track opener and was class runner-up to Jess Van Deventer at the 1960 Nationals in Detroit. When Kalivoda and Hamlin decided to switch to B/Gas Dragster, they used the roadster's injected DeSoto to power a Jerry Harris chassis.
