John Force's '89 Oldsmobile Funny Car

Prior to winning his first NHRA Winston Funny Car championship in 1990, John Force campaigned this Castrol-sponsored Oldsmobile Cutlass, which produced one win in 1989, at the Keystone Nationals in Pennsylvania, defeating that year's eventual Winston champion, Bruce Larson, in the final. The victory, which helped Force to finish sixth in NHRA Winston points, gave a hint of things to come for the 1990 season, in which he won seven events and edged out Ed McCulloch for the Winston crown, the first of eight championships that he has earned thus far in the 1990s, making him the decade's most dominant drag racing driver.
