The friends of Comp racer Sal Nicastro, injured in a racing accident July 28 at the Division 1 Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series event at Numidia Raceway, have created a fund to help his family offset their mounting medical bills.

Nicastro, of Scranton, Pa., lost control of his B/ED during a first-round race with Jeff Taylor and rolled the car several times. He remains hospitalized at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., where he has been in a medically-induced coma.
