2:54 PM Steve was late, shook and then just shut it off. Clean pass for Mert
Littlefield.

Mike smoked the tires and was all over the track while Dan stepped it up by a
tenth.

Big upset and Austin left late and then shut off early as a blower belt
departs. Nice hole shot for John and he hangs on for the win.

That finishes off the number 1, 2, and 3 qualifiers are all out. It was a
peddling match with Mike coming out on the better end. Both cars were in and out of
the throttle before Larry gave it up.

Jason lights the red and lets Russ Parker cruse to a win. The first
qualifier in the top half of the field to win a round.

Hyland left first and never looked back. Weaver dumped something on the track
and we are down for a clean up.

Margin of victory = 0.014 seconds (approximately 5 feet). Roger starts by
getting all out of shape and nearly hits the centerline but pulls it out to win it
by at least 3 feet.

Bucky pulled away at the start and won it easily as Forrest shut it off

11:52 AM After the bloodbath yesterday, only a couple of top-half
qualifiers are left in competition. Bateman got the holeshot here, but his car
headed for the centerline and he had to yank it back, allowing Giuliani to steal
one.

(L) John Evanchuk ('97 Cutlass) 0.473 5.968 236.63
Evanchuk upset Bucky's nephew (Pat) yesterday, but couldn't pull off a
sweep against the Austin family because Bucky made his best run of the weekend, by
a bunch, to win by a margin of victory = 0.120 seconds (approximately 42
feet).

Good drag race, the only two top-half qualifiers left in the field and
Parker wins at both ends of the track, but loses lane choice to Bucky Austin in
the semifinals.

McClone outdrove Gasparrelli, but ended up losing by a margin of victory =
0.010 seconds (approximately 4 feet) when Gasparrelli drove around him on the top
end. Gasparrelli has lane choice against Giuliani in the semifinals.

left, over near the wall, but he drove through it for an easy win, Giuliani
throwing in the towel well before the finish line.

Bucky takes out the last remaining top half qualifier in dominating fashion,
