11:18 AM  Tony was 3-0 against Cruz this year, all three prior meetings 
in the last four races.  But this time Tony lost traction immediately and 
Cruz steamed to victory, the car eating the engine on the top end.

 (L) Tim Wilkerson (Firebird-KB)            0.538    11.705  89.32

Wilkerson chose the right lane - possibly a mistake, because like Tony 
he went up in smoke almost immediately.  Force was on a very good run, but 
then the engine started eating itself and he oiled the lane from 1,000 feet 
on.  Force will have lane choice against Cruz in the finals.

1:24 PM Force was 30-17 against Cruz before this run - and this was yet 
another great drag race, the margin of victory = 0.020 seconds (approxi
ately 
9 feet) on Force's holeshot, the two right together all the way down the 
track.  Cruz may have popped the supercharger at the finish line, a panel 
sailing through the air - there is no video replay today, so it's hard to 
tell from here.  Of the four Professional final rounds so far today, three 
have been very close, a total of 0.035 seconds between the winners and 
runners-up, the Pro Bike final the only one that wasn't close.
