Final eliminations for the 30th annual Mac Tools Gatornationals got off to a slow start Sunday morning when a small rain shower passed over Gainesville Raceway, but the event quickly gathered speed and thundered to an historic finish. Fans who helped make Friday and Saturday the biggest days in NHRA event history, returned to overflow the Florida facility and helped make the four-day crowd an event record as well.
The fanatic Florida fans saw all-time bests and national records shattered and a hint of high-dollar drama in Top Fuel to boot.
