On the cover
The 50th anniversary Mac Tools U.S. Nationals will be remembered for many things, the most significant of which were victories by, from left, Antron Brown (Pro Stock Bike), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock), Gary Densham (Funny Car), and Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel). Densham, the only first-time Indy winner in the group, also won the Skoal Showdown. (Marc Gewertz photo)

MAC TOOLS U.S. NATIONALS PRO RESULTS

FUNNY CARby Steve Waldron
In his fourth and likely his last season with John Force Racing, Gary Densham won drag racing's biggest prize when he defeated Cruz Pedregon in the Funny Car final at the historic 50th Annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. The victory came just 24 hours after Densham's upset win over John Force in the Skoal Showdown. (page 16)

TOP FUEL by Bruce Dillashaw
Tony Schumacher believes that only God knows why he keeps winning Indy, so he's not asking too many questions. "It's a miracle to win three races in a row at the same track," Schumacher said, "and I'm so lucky to have Indy be that track." (page 14)
