Hi all! I just wanted to take a moment to send a Happy Father's Day wish to all of my faithful blog readers. Hopefully you will have the opportunity to spend some quality time with your kids and families today and they will let you know how much you are loved and appreciated. Or maybe they will just leave you alone so that you can do the fun things that us Dads like to do. You know what I mean...like work in the garage, work on the racecar, take a nap, play on the boat, go fishing, etc. You get my point.

Anyway, I am trying to relax on my boat today. Got down here about 9:00last night after a long day at the shop and now I am trying to figure out what I want to do to make myself relax. That sometimes is really hard for me. Usually we are racing on Father's Day so NHRA Jamie is in New Hampshire for the weekend visiting his in-laws, but called first thing this morning to wish me Happy Father's Day. Jon is working in Greenville, SC and he called me too, but I am lucky to have Melissa with me.

She got up early, gave me some great chocolate chip cookies which I promptly ate for breakfast (hey it's my day right?) and then gave me my Father's Day present. She is patiently waiting for me to get done with my blog so that we can burn up some of this diesel fuel while cruising on the river. It is a picture perfect day and I guess I don't have much of an excuse not to take a short ride. In case you didn't get it, short ride equals less fuel consumption.

Well, I will let you know what I ended up doing and share some pictures with you in my next blog. Before I close, however, I want to wish my Father-in-law Don a very happy Father's day. We are planning on celebrating with him next week before I leave for Englishtown. Well, Melissa is giving me the sign that it is time to roll so I better hurry up and decide how I'm going to relax today. Happy Father's Day!!!
