So it is now official. The GEICO bike will make a run for the championship in 2008. Yes, it was quite a weekend. With all the media coverage and the bike issues that we had, it really was a team effort of determination to get past that first round with Hector and the Lucas Oil team.  Hector and I had some fun with the NHRA first-round pressure on Saturday night in the pits. We arm-wrestled for the win. I posted some pictures of it for you to look at.

Saturday night we also attended the Ringer Gloves banquet. All the race teams meet in the Top Eliminator club and celebrate with the champion. We attached some pictures of that, too.

Right now we are in Virginia Beach for Bikers for Tykes. It’s a large weekend event with bands, vendor’s competitions and shows.  The monies and proceeds that GEICO and the other sponsors raise go to the local Children’s Hospital. It’s one of the many charity events that GEICO Motorcycle executes for the local hospitals.

The Saturday festivities have been cancelled due to the hurricane. It is supposed to be a tropical storm when it its here, however GEICO is taking precautions.  Sunday will be clear and
