Well guys, we have three races left and we are 59 points up. I honestly don’t know how this even happened after the weekend we had. We got some new tires this past weekend in Dallas and they were all junk. We normally have 1.05/1.06 60-foot times, but this time we had 1.10/1.12 60-foot times. Way off pace! I was so aggravated, because there was nothing I could do. I called Dad and he helped me out, but we were still so far off.

For the fourth qualifying session I put back on one of my old tires, which had about 18 runs on it. I just wanted to make sure that was the problem. Sure enough it was, that tire was about four-hundredths quicker than the new ones we got. Man, was I pissed. We basically had no choice we just had to go in to raceday with the new tires and try to kick everyone’s butt on the tree, and we did.

It was pretty cool to make it to the finals when we were soooo bad. To lengthen our points lead with the problems we had is just amazing. And to top it off, my girl Angie was tearing them up as well. She ended up taking out Andrew and Angelle, which is HUGE for me in the points. I was so proud of her. I was hoping it would be me and her in the finals, but I guess you can’t get everything you want. Maybe soon we can meet up in the finals. That would be cool.

So after having our first hometown race in Charlotte, which by the way was amazing, I think everyone from King was there. We had so many fans there. I wish we could have won for them, but the motor came apart second round and we we’re done. Hopefully we can get them next year.

So with three races to go, we had to figure out this tire issued before we headed to Memphis. We stayed in Texas on Monday and got some new tires. We compared those to the other tires and sure enough we were five hundredths quicker. We are definitely ready for Memphis and I can’t wait to get back on track.
