The last few weeks have been rather hectic. After winning
Denver instead of flying back home before
Sonoma, we decided to stay on the west coast and work on my new bike. It took us a few days to get everything together and up and running, but it’s good to go now.
We thought about running it at Sonoma, but I chose not to. We won last year at Sonoma, so we thought going in we would have a pretty good setup with the bike we had already. We ran pretty decent in qualifying, but I definitely nailed the setup first round on Sunday. We ran a 6.88, which is hauling the mail. Second round however, we encountered problems yet again. The bike would not shift and needless to say if the bike doesn’t shift then you don’t go really far. I was pissed. Actually that may be an understatement.
So, we loaded up and headed to the East Coast. We drove for four days and finally made it to Indy. We left the hauler there and will go back on Monday to get it and head out to Brainerd. We will use the new bike there and the new paint job is sick. You all are gonna love it. It has 21 colors in the paint job. Pretty amazing!
We decided to leave everything in Indy, because it saves money obviously. We will go home wash clothes, re-pack and try to relax at the lake a few days before we head back out. I have been so stressed out here lately that I have made myself sick, so hopefully a few days of R&R will cure that.
Dad, of course, has been kicking butt left and right. He teamed up with Al Anabi Awesome Motorsports and went to the ADRL race in
Budds Creek, Md., to race both his Pro Stock car and his Pro Mod car. He ended up qualifying top-five with both, but decided to only race the Pro Mod car, and it’s a good thing he chose that one. He ended up winning the whole race, which was not only his first race with that team, but his first win in the ADRL Series as well. He is in
Martin, Mich., this weekend helping Mike Castellana, but he will be back behind the wheel soon.
Anyway, hope you guys are doing well. I can’t wait for you all to see the new bike. Hopefully we will not have near the problems with this one as we had with the last one. I will try and take some pics at the lake and shoot the this way before I head to the Zoo. See ya!
