I have been super slammed here lately in trying to get ready for Gainesville, but I do have to say it’s been kind of fun at times. Between trying to get my bike painted, Angie’s bike ready, the hauler wrapped, hero cards, uniforms, leathers, heck I could go on all day with the things we are trying to get done around here. Anyway, everything is coming together nicely. The artwork is so cool. It’s really bold and really bright. No one is going to be able to miss it that’s for sure.

The last few days my trailer has been getting wrapped, which is a very interesting project in itself. They did it at our shop, so we got to watch the whole process. It is amazing how they can take a plain white trailer and make it look this good. Just watching them got my adrenaline flowing to go race. I can’t wait to get to the track and have everything in place and ready to go. It’s so exciting getting new things done and watching the final product come together.

Gainesville is right around the corner. I honestly can’t believe that it is already here. It seems like yesterday we were at Pomona racing. I actually watched the final round from Pomona yesterday on the computer and it still gives me chills every time I see it. It’s so awesome. I can’t wait to get out there and try to do it again this year.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot I got a new four-wheeler the other day. We got it from Kenny’s dealership in Pennsylvania. It is pretty hateful. Every chance I get I go and ride it, which hasn’t been a lot here lately. Hopefully I’ll have more time to enjoy it soon.

Dad’s been busy, too. The week before last he went to Puerto Rico to help a guy with his racecar, then flew to Florida to go test with Tom Hammonds, then to Phoenix to help Hammonds out at that race, which they did pretty well too. He left yesterday to go get a new Pro Stock car from Bickel. He is running it in a race in Memphis this weekend, then going straight to Houston the next week to run his Pro Mod car in the season-opener ADRL race, then he is coming home and going back to Bahrain to help a guy out there on his racecar again.

So as you can tell we are extremely busy around here right now. We are all in different places. Nobody can keep up with each other's schedule. I went to Mom and Dad’s house the other day and she had a dry erase board on the fridge with Dad’s schedule on it for the next month just so she could remember where he is. It’s so funny. Between me in NHRA, Dad literally all over the world helping people out, and then driving his own car whenever he gets a chance, my younger sister who works for my dad and then Amanda who works in NASCAR, sometimes I wonder how my mom keeps her sanity. Heck, she probably enjoys her quiet time when were not there.

Well I guess I will get off here and get back to work. I just wanted to give you all an update on what is going on with the Smith’s. I’ll write back in soon. See ya!

*** HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO UTT!!! *** He turned the BIG 30 today!
