Party…Thursday, December 06, 2007

Well after things finally died down around home. We decided to throw a championship party for everyone that has stood behind us through the years. We have a ton of family and friends that have called and offered their congrats, but we wanted to do something special to let them know that we thank them for their support.
Dad and I decided to throw a huge chicken stew at his new shop. We cleared out the shop and put my trailer outside, so that it left plenty of room for everyone to come in and look around. We had both bikes on display as well as few others. We also had dad’s cars on display as well. We had a DJ and a T.V. set up so that we could show some videos from over the years.
Amanda put together a movie of all the races I won this year and some pictures of us winning the championship. It was pretty cool. It had music to it and everything. We played it and after each round the crowd would just yell and clap. It was awesome to relive those moments. She also made a slide show of dad over the years, from the Country Shindig car until now. It was so funny and it surprised a lot of people, including him.
We had around 120 people or so turn out for the party. We invited a lot of people, but were definitely not expecting them to all show up, so it was really neat to see how much they care about us.
About halfway through the night I decided to take the bike outside and crank it up. I mean, some people had never heard it in person they had just seen it on T.V. So needless to say they were blown away. Everyone was hollering and taking pictures. They couldn’t believe how loud it really was. When the get the Charlotte dragstrip built it is going to be really cool, because all of our supporters from around home will be able to come watch us. Right now our closest track to where the bikes race is Atlanta, so everyone is real pumped up about Charlotte next year.
Anyway, the part and the whole year turned out to be much more than I ever expected and I can’t wait for 2008. We have a ton of stuff do to before then, but it is going to be so awesome running the No. 1 on my bike next year.
We have a new bike being built and it will debut in Gainesville. We also have a lot of other cool things going on as well that I will keep you updated on.
We are now at the PRI show in Orlando, so if you guys are in town down here come check us out. Talk to ya soon!
