Hey everybody, Rickie here. I know it’s been a while since I have wrote in but I actually just got back in the country a week or so ago, and I have been trying to get my self back to normal.
Nancy and I went to Honduras for a week to go scuba diving. She has actually had this planned for a long time however I had a severe head cold for about three weeks, so we didn’t think I was going to be able to go. I ended up going to the doctor and took some real strong medicine, and when the day came to leave I was ready.
I am sure you have read before in my other blogs that I am not big on vacations. After a few days I am ready to come home and get back to work, but this is something Nancy has wanted to do for a long time so I went.
We are pretty big into scuba diving, but have never really been as far as Honduras to go scuba diving. We went with a group of about 40 people. I really didn’t know what to expect especially after we got down there because I had no cell phone service the entire time I was there, and I am definitely one of those people who needs their phone. I made do though.
We stayed in this little bungalow on the water, which was nice. There wasn’t really much there but we made the most of it. The water was clear blue and the scuba diving was great. We ate at this little bar each day; they had the best breakfast. I had actually been working out and have shed a few pounds, however after breakfast down there for a week I think I put it all back on.
I guess I never realized how poor that country is. We rented a scooter one day and road for miles and miles. The scenery was beautiful but the people that lived there really didn’t have anything. It made all are troubles seem ridiculous. It also makes you appreciate everything that you have as well.
We actually forgot to take our digital camera; yeah I know. I have no idea how we forgot it. Anyway here are a few pictures. Hope you all enjoy.
