Hi guys! Not much has been going on around here just waiting to get back into it. We went into Reading with high expectations. We knew the motor was back to normal if not a little better. So we were ready to run some killer numbers at the track. Reading is where the National record is held for Pro Stock Motorcycle and we were looking to break it. But all we got to do was watch it rain. So hopefully we will get our chance in another week or so.
Other than that I have just been hanging out around home. I have been helping coach my son Tristan’s soccer team. They are doing pretty good. They won last week, 9-0. Tristan scored two goals, he was so excited. Last year his team never won a single game so you can imagine how pumped up he is this year. He has another game this Saturday and he can’t wait.
Since I have been home for a while my sister, Amanda, who is also my roommate, has decided that this week has become cleaning week. Everyone had their own jobs to do in the house. I had to clean my bedroom and bathroom, then shampoo the carpets in the house. Right now this house is exceptionally clean. You could eat off of the floor. I know you always hear people say this, but I swear you can eat off the floor in this house.
Dad is doing good. He is wide-open racing wise around home. He tested last week with some of the NHRA Pro Stock guys at Richmond and is hauling the mail now. He doesn’t race his Pro Stock car for a few more weeks but he has been racing his Pro Mod car a lot here lately. He runs again this weekend at Ronnie Humphrey’s (Greg Anderson’s brother-in-law) track in Jacksonville, N.C. Last time he raced there he won. I won’t be able to go because I have to coach Tristan’s soccer game. Amanda will be helping him so I am sure she will have plenty of pictures when the weekend is over. Dad is also displaying his racecar at the Army base in Jacksonville before the race for the troops to get a look at it. So check back in next week for some new photos!
Hope you are all doing well. Talk to ya later!
