Hi guys! Sorry I didn’t update right after Brainerd but I have been pretty busy. I got home late Monday night, then my son started the 4th grade this week and I have been getting stuff ready for Memphis, which I am driving to. So you can imagine how hectic things have been.

Things did not go as good as expected in Brainerd. My bike had trouble running during qualifying Friday and Saturday. It has some glitch in it that is driving the whole team crazy, myself included. It will shut off and on going down the track and it is so frustrating trying to ride like that. We managed to get things together and make a decent pass on Saturday, which put us in 5th.

After spending only one night in the Zoo, due to rain, I had about all I could take from that place. It is unreal how crazy and creative the fans in Brainerd are. One night will do you in for the whole weekend, but it is a blast. If you have never experienced the Zoo, you need to make a trip next year. It is by far the best campground, and party, for that matter, in motorsports history.

Sunday, I had a good chance of going some rounds as long as the bike kept running. I had Craig Treble first round and he is by far one of the best leavers in Pro Stock Motorcycle, so I knew I had to push the tree. I left on him and outran him, so I was pumped up for second round. I had Tom Bradford next round and his bike has been flawless here lately. I knew he had me covered a few hundredths on the track, so I was going to have to leave on him. And I did, I just red lit. He actually ended up outrunning me even though I red lit, so I really didn’t have no choice but to push the Tree. After the race we worked on my bike and the electrical problems it’s been having, so hopefully Memphis will be good for us. Memphis has always treated me well. I went to my first final ever in Memphis a few years ago. Maybe this year I can get a win.

Dad raced around home this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. He was No.1 qualifier in both races. He set a new track record on Saturday night in Virginia. Then went on to win there and lost in the semi’s in the Sunday race. He is having a blast! He left today to go to St. Louis to pick up his new Pro Stock car and will be testing there all week before racing it. I will have pictures of his new car early next week on here. Dad will also be in Memphis a few days watching me qualify before picking up his car. It will be great having him out there, maybe he can bring me some luck. Last time he was at a race, I won! So stay tuned!
