Hey guys, Rickie again. We just got back from testing in Bradenton, Fla., and things went very well. I took both my Pro Mod and Pro Stock car down to Florida last week and we got after it. There were a few others down there testing as well, Dave Connolly and Shannon Jenkins. The first few days we were there I ran the Pro Stock car. It was hauling the mail. I tried lots of new things and each time the car seemed to pick up the pace. Needless to say I am very excited about running for a championship next year.
After two days of great success with the Pro Stock car I brought the Pro Mod out of the trailer. It had rained all morning on the third day of testing. So we didn’t have much success getting down the track that day. Therefore we loaded up and went to the PRI show in Orlando for a few days. We had a blast! Chatted with a lot of old friends and met a lot of new friends. The PRI show is a great display of what drag racing is all about.
After leaving the PRI show we stopped by Gainesville to do some more testing with the Pro Mod car. There were a ton of people there as I am sure you have seen on other websites. We ran well right out of the box. We actually put up some great numbers in comparison to the altitude. I am definitely ready for 2007 to get here and race season to kick off once again. I am not one for sitting still or going on vacation. About two days of sitting still, I start pulling my hair out.
We have a lot of great surprises coming up for Christmas in a few days, including my birthday. So stay tuned for lots of pictures. Merry Christmas to all!!!
