Hey guys, Matt here. Sorry it has been so long. But between being sick, soccer games and traveling, I have been exhausted.
I spent a week in Vegas and had a blast. I am not a big gambler, but I won a little money at the tables. The Vegas nightlife is definitely something everyone should experience at least once in their life. It never stops sun up, sun down. It is always booming! I stayed a few extras days for Halloween and WOW is all I have to say. The freaks came out. It was fun to watch though. I have to say they are very creative in Vegas.
As for the racetrack, Vegas is one of the best tracks on the tour. It is beautiful. I have never lost first round in Vegas, so going out there I was going to try and keep it that way. We ran pretty decent. I had a really fast bike except for the last 300 feet of the track, and then it would just stop running. It had killer numbers all the way down the track until then on each pass. We worked day and night on trying to figure out what was wrong with it, but we were stumped. Every time we thought we fixed it, it would pop right back up again. So needless to say we were more than frustrated.
Come race day I knew I was going to have my work cut out for me since the bike wouldn’t run a complete pass. I managed to get by first round, so I kept my stat at Vegas. However second round I wasn’t so lucky. We shipped the motors back to the shop so hopefully by Pomona this weekend we will be back on top again. I qualified No. 1 in Pomona last year and I set the track record at 7.000. I am looking to do the same there this year. My birthday is also this weekend, on Saturday, so hopefully I can give myself a great birthday present by qualifying well.
Come by the trailer and check us out in Pomona if your there. If not check back in, we will have some great pictures of this weekend. See ya!
