The Kentucky Motorsports Hall of Fame has announced its 2012 class of inductees, which includes the Top Alcohol Dragster team of Woosley, Sharpe & Reynolds (pictured); longtime track and sanctioning-body official John Potts; dragstrip builders and operators Wayne and Jim Williams; and drag racing and tractor-pull announcer Butch Krieger. Others to be inducted are three-time NASCAR champion Darrell Waltrip, SCCA road-racing champions Allan and Donald Barker, powerboat racer Collings Downes, oval-track sprint-car racer Joseph Reynold (Joie) Ray Jr., and pioneer NASCAR driver and oval-track owner Tommy Thompson. The hall's 5th annual induction ceremony is expected to take place in August; the date and site are yet to be determined.
