Honeywell CPG and Fram-sponsored NHRA driver Cory McClenathan presented the keys to a new 22-foot Nordic Speedboat on the starting line Sunday during the season opener in Pomona. Darrell Scrivner, 42, of Parker, Colo., was the grand-prize winner of the 2009 Fram Cory Mac Boat Sweepstakes – a promotion that teamed McClenathan, Honeywell CPG, Nordic Boats, Full Throttle, and Don Schumacher Racing – to deliver one lucky fan a new speedboat that features a customized paint job resembling the Fram Tough Guard dragster. Scrivner, a regular attendee at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals in Denver before becoming a father, introduced his 9-year-old son, Danny, to the sport Saturday.

“We vacation every year near the Blue Mesa Reservoir, the largest lake in Colorado. I’m really looking forward to taking the family out on the boat this summer,” Scrivner said. His new Nordic Speedboat retails at $64,999 and can cruise at speeds up to 60 mph. It also has its own extreme custom tandem trailer with torsion axles, disc brakes, and chrome rims.

This marks the second year of the Fram Cory Mac Boat Sweepstakes. “The partnership with Nordic and Full Throttle has been a great way for Honeywell CPG to engage our fans,” said Kelly O’Donnell, director of Global Coolants/Motorsports Products at Honeywell CPG.
