Karl Klement, who signed Angie Smith to ride his Coffman Tanks/Klement Racing Buell in NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series competition, has added marketing partner PJ1 products as his team prepares to challenge for the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Pro Stock Motorcycle world championship.

“I’m proud to say this is the third year that P.J. Harvey’s company has supported us,” Klement said. “We use PJ1 lubricants, chain lube, and maintenance products every day. They are the best. We are going to do our best to win some races for him this year.”

“It’s exciting to be participating with this group of people,” said Harvey. “They are highly motivated individuals, and they are winners in attitude and performance. There is excellent participation and cooperation with vendors and sponsors.”

Though this may be Smith’s first opportunity to run all 17 races and contend for the series crown, she did run limited schedules in 2008 and 2009 to hone her skills. She competed at 13 events in 2008, finishing 13th. Last year, she attended seven events and advanced to the semifinals twice and placed 15th.

“I’m so excited that PJ1 is a part of our race team,” she said. “They will help us tremendously. I think we are going to have a great team this year.”

Matt Smith, Angie’s husband and the 2007 Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion, is the team’s engine builder and crew chief.
