The Jegs.com Chevrolet Cobalt that carried Full Throttle Pro Stock points leader Jeg Coughlin to the last two NHRA world championships will be in the Parade of Power through downtown Charlotte from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Open to the public, the Parade of Power will feature race cars from all of the motorsports events occurring this fall at zMax Dragway and Lowe's Motor Speedway. Coughlin’s car will be used to promote the second annual NHRA Carolinas Nationals, Sept. 17-20 at the Bruton Smith-owned property. The event marks the first of six races in the NHRA Full Throttle Countdown to 1 playoffs.

The Parade of Power route is from 3rd Street to the corner of Trade and Tryon. All of the race cars will then be parked on the street at Trade and Tryon for public viewing. Once the cars are parked, a press event will take place in front of the Bank of America building.
