Guest doggerWednesday, September 02, 2009
Posted by: Cory McClenathan, Fram Filters dragster

Hi, my name is Cyrus. I live in Eagle, Wis., and I am president of the Cory Mac fan club up here. Cory is busy signing autographs and getting ready for the U.S. Nationals, so I am going to be your guest dogger ... I mean, blogger for today. I have temporarily borrowed my owner’s license plate to express my support for Cory and the boys this weekend! He’s a Mac fan, too, as you can see. In case you are wondering, yes, I am the same Cyrus who has the hots for Cory’s Cocker Spaniel, Tori. She loves me too, she just doesn’t know it yet!

Rumor has it that Cory’s team tested a new car last Wednesday during a session at Indy. I am not sure if I’m supposed to be telling you this or not, but when you see him scream down the track like a scalded Greyhound (Not only is a scalded Greyhound pathetic to see, it’s FAST!), you will know that they have been up to something! This is Indy, The Big Go, the granddaddy of them all! You can bet that they won’t be doggin’ it this weekend (get it ... doggin it ... I’m a dog ... OK).

Anyway, this year's U.S. Nationals promises to be every bit as big and exciting as the Wiener Dog Winternationals. Cory is No. 4 in the Countdown to 1 and I know that he and his guys are up for this weekend. By the way, somebody asked me a good question the other day. They wanted to know why we dogs ride in a pick-up truck with our heads out the window at 60 mph with no problem, but get irritated when somebody blows in our ear. You want to know why? Nobody spits in my ear when my head is out the window! What a stupid question ... some people! Another thing, why do they say that a dog is a man’s best friend? Think about it for a minute, if a man’s best friend is a dog ... he has a problem!

Oh, I’m also supposed to tell you to stop by the midway and sign up for the Nordic boat drawing. The boat won’t be there but you can still sign up. Why wouldn’t you? It’s a free boat! So get to the U.S. Nationals this weekend, it’s going to be a great time. I know things are expensive but at least gas isn’t over $3 a gallon like it was last year. That’s almost $21 in dog dollars! Stop by the Fram pit and say hi to Cory and the boys. I’m even going to try to get there (I know Tori is going to be there...).

I am going to close for now. It takes forever to type with these huge paws. Before I go, I would like to leave you with a word of wisdom if I may; don’t accept your dog’s admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful .... think about it!

See you in the fast lane at the U.S Nationals -- it’s where the big dogs run!
