The most coveted Wally is up for grabs this weekend at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals in Indy. I can honestly tell you that my 1999 U.S. Nationals victory was one of the highlights of my career as a Top Fuel driver. This is the one that everybody wants to win and the Fram team is as ready as we have ever been to step into the winner’s circle.

It is an understatement to say that this is an extremely busy week for all of the teams here at DSR. Autograph sessions, charity functions, and an open house at DSR are among the many functions going on. Make sure you stop by the open house this week. You will be amazed at the sheer size of this operation.

Also, don’t forget to stop by the Manufacturers Midway and check out the Nordic Boat with the Fram logo on the side. The paint job matches the Fram dragster and, believe me, if you win this thing, you will be feared on the water for sure! Trust me, if it had wings, it would fly.

In case you are interested, Tori Mac (my fearless Cocker Spaniel) is doing fine and growing in leaps and bounds. I just signed her up for Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School so she can get her Super Comp license. Just kidding, I wanted to see if you were reading closely or just skimming the words. She is doing fine though, I haven’t mentioned her in any recent blogs and people have been asking me about her. Nobody is asking how I’M doing, they just want to know about her...go figure.

I’ll bet that you were expecting to read about the next two crew members this week, weren’t you? Well, they were both last seen in … no … I am not telling that story. See how hard it is to write about other people! You will have to wait until after the Big Go to hear about those boys!

I know that this is going to go on the record as being the shortest blog entry that I have written and I apologize for that. But things are much busier than usual as this is Indy week. So, make sure you take a look at that Nordic Boat at the Midway and root for the Fram team this weekend. Oh, by the way, when I said to yell “Hi” to Jason as he steers the Fram dragster through the pits, I was serious about that. And don’t forget to come over and ask him for his autograph. It’s going to drive him nuts!
