Hi everyone. Sorry it's been over a week to get to my blog for Phoenix, but on Sunday evening we took a flight at 11 p.m. and landed in Orlando, Fla., for the Matco Tools convention.

Let me tell you something, we were tired, but we had a great time getting to know all the distributors and their families, and they are all big NHRA race fans.

Lets talk about Phoenix. It rained on Friday, so that put us in a two-run position coming into Saturday, but my team was up for the challenge on the second run of the day. We had our best numbers of the year, but I thought I felt something and shut it off at just past half-track, but there was nothing wrong. That's the hard part about being a Top Fuel driver -- you have to make split-second decisions, and they're not always the right ones ...

But on to Gainesville with my Fram Top Fuel dragster and another chance to put some points up on the board. I can't wait see you at the races.
